It seems that the theatres are always throwing out new movies each week that we are supposed to go watch. But what if these movies are not good ones? Then why should we spend money to see them? I have learned this lesson of watching horrible movies. It is a waste of money. So, now I do my research before I go into a movie. What am I looking to get out of the movie? How did the critics rate the movie? Is it even watchable? All of these questions must be answered now before I hit up the movies to spend time and money.

New Movies are Good Movies

Everyone enjoys watching new movies from time to time. They are often considered the best movies, the favorite movies, quite simply because of their newness. However, we all do know that there are always some movies that come out that are truly wonderful movies and for that reason we always try to see them all.

American Gangster: One of the Best New Movies

American Gangster is one of the best new movies in theaters right now. The movie is based on the life of drug dealer Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington), who grew up amid racism in North Carolina where he watched his cousin get shot by the Klu Klux Klan for looking at a white girl.

He eventually moves to New York where he became a heroin kingpin by traveling to Asia to make drug connections so he could ship heroin back to the US in the coffins of soldiers killed in Vietnam. He soon became one of the richest and most powerful men in the US. Russell Crowe plays Richie Roberts, the lawman looking to bring Frank Lucas down.

New Movies

According to a recent poll of moviegoers, the upcoming Indiana Jones adventure is the most anticipated movie scheduled for release in the next year.

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," the fourth movie in Steven Spielberg's adventure franchise, topped the survey conducted by MovieTickets.com, followed by the next Batman movie, "The Dark Knight."

The poll involved asking more than two thousand moviegoers to rank their interest level in a list of new movies from one to five.

The top ten also included several others based on existing film franchises, such as the "Chronicles of Narnia," and "National Treasure."

Only 2 originals films, "American Gangster," and "I Am Legend" made it into the top ten.

"The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," starring Harrison Ford as adventurer Indiana Jones, will be released worldwide in May 2008, nearly 20 years after Steven Spielberg and George Lucas last brought the heroic archaeologist to the big screen in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."

Men and women alike ranked the Indiana Jones movie as their most anticipated film, and included "The Dark Knight (Batman Begins 2)," "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," "American Gangster", and "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," in their top 5 new movies.
